The United Arab Emirates consists of 7 Emirates, which includes both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The official language is Arabic, although English is spoken throughout all the Emirates. The local currency is the Dirham and it is pegged against the US dollar at 3.65 Dirham.

 

The weather in Dubai is hot and humid in the summer months, May to August, with daytime temperatures exceeding 40C, while the winter months, December to February, boast warm daytime temperatures averaging 25C.

 

Tourism to Dubai is a major industry and the continued investment and innovative developments are continuing to entice visitors back year after year. The Palm Island developments have commenced opening, adding a further 120 kilometres of beachfront to Dubai’s coastline.

 

Golf has become a major attraction with some of the finest courses including the Emirates Golf Club – Majlis and Wadi courses, Earth Course, Arabian Ranches, The Montgomerie and Dubai Creek to mention just a few.
